Its odd how days can start blending into each other when you are outside your creative self.
I have not been doing much music or writing as of late, other than say,… college assignments. Homework itself, while I know I could excel at every assignment I’m given, I put off till the last moment, and spend my time playing video games. I seemed to have mastered the art of finishing things at the last second, with superb performance. Sometimes I slip up and end up saying, ‘Hell! Why study for this when I can vegetate myself by gazing at a screen?’.
Really, … aside from using my creative and technical genius for homework, it is all being spent on my Wii console. Of course, you would think that having a Wii is not as good as a PS3 or an XBox 360, but if you are someone like me, you like to unlock the full potential of your electronics. I have invested my technical talents in hacking, softmoding, and homebrewing my Wii. I have literally reached the point where I no longer have to pay for anything Wii related; any game, any virtual console title, any Wiiware,… not a single penny.
…
However, not all is lost on vegetating. I have recently hooked up with an old friend of mine,… someone who has risen much higher than I on the ‘spiritual’ ladder,… and we’ve begun a music project: composing/engineering meditation music. It would basically be the same process behind composing hip-hop instrumentals, only with a lot of pads, synths, strings, atmospheric effects, ambient sounds,… all things that would assist the meditation process. We figured the first project we would work on was just a meditation CD, and then perhaps we could focus on specified frequencies,… those associated with chakra meditation. … This is quite a different twist from what I’ve been doing before in music, but I feel like it may become a worthwhile endeavor. Perhaps we’ll sell the album, or just release it for free download on his website (www.indreamsonline.com). Its plenty early in the project to think about that now, however.
