Ancient Sofeggio Frequencies
For those of you who take interest in music, you might find this entry to be intriguing to say the least.
If anyone here has ever taken a class on music (or has seen the play/movie ‘The Sound of Music’), then you are aware that music is comprised of notes on a scale, that generally range 8 notes per octave (or all 13 if it is a ‘Chromatic Scale’). These notes have been often summarized into a process called ‘Solfege’, which links each note in a scale to a specific syllable, which originated from Gregorian Chant and singing of Latin hymns. These syllables are repectively: DO, RE, MI, FA, SOL, LA, TI,…. and DO, beginning the next octave in the scale. For centuries and centuries, music has been centrally based on this 8-note-diatonic-scale idea, and is still in use today as the standard for understanding Western music.
However…
… what if I were to tell you that the current DO, RE, MI, FA, SOL, LA, TI, DO was not the same as it was in earlier medieval/ancient times, and that these ‘Ancient Solfeggio Frequencies’ originally had a metaphysical power, that could do things like eliminate fear, connect people together, and even reconstruct your DNA?
…
Before each note had settled on their present tones/pitches, these pitches were at different frequencies altogether, which were lost in the progression of time. What was so special about these frequencies were that they were of specific, spiritual significance, which invoked profound effects to the health, well-being, and consciousness of the listener over time (yes. I know some of the skeptics will be quick to jump in and say that music has therapeutic effects on its own, and this most is definitely true. However, the music we are listening to now is based on different frequencies than they were in ancient times, and if anything, is not accurate to their base, and while when comparing the two sets of frequencies one could argue that todays music is much more pleasing to the ear, the power behind the old frequencies was through its resonating power, not its melodic power.)
These original sound frequencies were used in Ancient Gregorian Chants, such as the great hymn to St. John the Baptist, along with others that church authorities ‘say’ were lost centuries ago. The chants and their special tones were believed to impart tremendous spiritual blessings when sung in harmony during religious masses. These powerful frequencies were rediscovered by Dr. Joseph Puleo as described in the book Healing Codes for the Biological Apocalypse by Dr. Leonard Horowitz.
The Six Solfeggio Frequencies include:
UT – 396 Hz – Liberating Guilt and Fear
RE – 417 Hz – Undoing Situations and Facilitating Change
MI – 528 Hz – Transformation and Miracles (DNA Repair)
FA – 639 Hz – Connecting/Relationships
SOL – 741 Hz – Awakening Intuition
LA – 852 Hz – Returning to Spiritual Order…
For example, my favorite frequency of these (‘Mi’), rests at a frequency of 528 Hz. While no note on our modern pianos plays any of these frequencies listed above, the closest note to ‘Mi’ is at C5 on the piano (C note, 5th octave), which is really 523 Hz. While these notes are based on one solid pitch, and not a note in a scale like in modern music, they relate to our modern use of Solfege to understand the use of music. ‘Mi’ comes from the phrase “MI-ra gestorum” in Latin meaning “miracle.” Stunningly, this is the exact frequency used by genetic biochemists to repair broken DNA – the genetic blueprint upon which life is based!
Extending off my example, it is worthwhile to point out that at the turn of the century, the awareness of DNA entered into the intellectual consciousness of the world. We have incarnated into this human experience as divine beings with a blueprint, a set of instructions. We know that a very small percentage (3%) of those instructions make up our current physiology. Carl Sagan writes that most of our genetic information (about 97%) is unused DNA. He refers to this as “genetic gibberish.” … But is it possible that most of who we are still lies dormant in this 97%, and that as human beings, it is our duty to find out how to unlock that unknown portion? What is it? Is it really just gibberish, or is pure human ‘potential’,… an innate energy that is slumbering within us all?
In the old paradigm of religion, “potential” remained a mystery to the human mind, therefore we coined a mystical term called “SPIRIT.” “Spirit” was something that was detached from who we were, something we didn’t have and could only be gained through the systems of most religions. In a sense, this search for ‘spirit’ has never left the human experience since the ancients first knew consciousness, and it was through ancient origins of (one could say) spiritual/intellectual nature that uncovered the uses and meanings of these frequencies; ancient science which is now being used today to repair DNA in science labs, aside of being used in meditation.
It is my recent interest in these frequencies which are giving me new angles about how I should go about putting together music. While these frequencies are not the same as out modern ones, there is always a creative use for sound in any form of music, and I think I might tap into more ‘ancient’ ideas as I go about putting together music, and perhaps, bring back a piece of history and ‘musical discovery’ which was lost to the worlds view so long ago.

I look foreword to that, and this reminds me of a game were you can play as a class of healer that uses music to heal the allies. I know its a game but something has to come from some where. very interesting read reminded me of a specific episode from a show called Look around you.
@windfox - Look Around You? … You mean that British show in Adult Swim? XD XD XD
That show reminds me of what it was like when I smoked marijuana. I seem to be the only person I know who actually enjoys that kind of bizarre humor.
Music, on its own, has a profound ability to heal, to stimulate creativity, and to heighten frequency. There is an entire academic degree dedicated to using music as a form of therapy for sick patients and disabled children. … How the ancients discovered the original frequencies and their effect is a great mystery; especially in these days, after the frequencies were lost from mans knowledge of them for so long, and even now as they have been uncovered, very little people on this planet know about them.
